Earlier this month, a series of wildfires broke out in the Hawaiian Island, Maui, and more specifically, in the Hawaiian town, Lāhainā. This catastrophic event has caused many families to have to flee home as a result of their homes burning down and the fire spreading in an uncontrollable manner. It has been reported that the fire initially started because of fallen power lines that started a grass fire; eventually, the fire expanded and consumed the town. Officials note that fallen electrical lines have a history of causing widespread damage.
