The Grand Old Party (GOP) Republican Primary Debate was this past week, and it interesting. This debate consisted of Republicans firing back and forth at one another and responding to controversial questions with even more controversial answers. The candidates for the first primary debate consisted of Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Chris Christie, Vivek Ramaswamy, Doug Burgum, and Asa Hutchinson. Trump, unsurprisingly, was a no-show because he claims “the public already knows who I am!” In short, Scott, Burgum, and Hutchinson did not say anything substantial, Christie pinned Ramaswamy as a talking Chat GPT, Ramaswamy believes climate change is a hoax, and DeSantis got ignored despite being a frontrunner of the debate.
