Florida has never carried a strong reputation in regards to its strict policies, and its newest topic of discussion, reproductive rights, adds to the commotion. Currently, Florida holds a fifteen-week abortion ban, meaning that in the state of Florida, abortions are banned once someone reaches the fifteen week mark in their pregnancy; this went into effect in July of 2022. However, a recent six-week ban was passed, and it is only one court hearing away from being implemented. Most people are unaware that they are even pregnant at the six-week mark. What does this entail? We need to strive for stronger social policies and clean up the wrongdoings of those who comprise the Florida Supreme Court. To add flame to the fire, those who make up the court are either old white men who are controlling a topic irrelevant to them or older women who are past the age of reproduction.
